Hello all I currently have two different ages of chicks in my brooder and some are ready to move outside and others are smaller and not quite ready. If I move half of them(4) to the outdoor coop and then in a few weeks move the other half(4) will I have to reintroduce them or will the remember each other?

Are you trying to decrease fights?

We have a small brooder and it’s getting crowded for all of them but the little ones are to little to go outside and I’m afraid there will be another fight if we separate them for a couple weeks.

Cause overall, I had 9 Easter Eggers. 2 grew up together and the other 7 grew up together. Even though in the beginning they were living together for 3 weeks and separated for 3 to 4 weeks, when they were reintroduced to each other they were fine.

However they are different ages so I recommend to put them together once the 2 week ones grow a bit older like 8 weeks.
