Well, these guys are my early Christmas present this year.

Can anyone help me with the breeds? They weren't marked or noted anywhere.

Thank you!

I have one of these. Black and white with clean legs.

I have two of these. Really dark in color and have two very distinct cream colored stripes down their backs. Orange, clean legs.

I have two of these...in person they look grey/black with slightly yellow faces, but the camera has picked up some brownish coloring in their fluff too...they have feathered legs

I have three of these....all different shades...they look blue to me, but I'm no expert.

I have three of these...they are a chocolate brown in color. They also have feathered legs. (Missed one in the brooder, only two pictured)

I have four of these guys...hard to explain the coloring...browns, blacks, greys. Clean legs

I have four of these grey/silver/black peeps....they all have yellow faces. Clean legs

And last but not least, I have 5 of these yellow peeps...2 of which have a brown spot on their backs. They all have feathered legs.

Love your photos and description, very helpful!

1 - Looks mottled, and perhaps a Japanese.

2 - Perhaps Brown Leghorns - Are they small or big?

3 - pea combs or single combs? They look like Brahmas, perhaps light Brahmas (which should normally be a creamy white, but hatchery Brahmas are dark like that due to pencilling and black leakage in their plumage)

4 - single combs? They look like blue Cochins.

5 - Not sure, but they're adorable!!

6 - Silver/Golden Campines, can't tell with that photo which color, they look like both

7 - Silver Spangled Hamburgs

8 - not sure. The brown spot can indicate a possible wheaten or columbian color though. . .

Is there any size difference in any of them?

They are all large fowl size except for the little black and white one. They were supposed to all be a large fowl pullet mix, so the bantam would definitely be out of place! Thank you for all of the breed inputs! Its fun guessing what I have

3 Dark Brahmas if they have pea combs
4 Blue Cochins
5 Partridge Cochins

Ok, I checked all of the chicks combs, legs and toes. Here is what I found, in the same order as the pictures.

1. single comb with orange legs
2. single comb with a dirty orange color leg
3. comb with three rows
4. single comb and grey legs and toes under the feathers
5. single comb with orange legs and feathers
6. single comb and have a green/grey leg
7. flat and wide comb...can't tell any rows or anything like that yet
8. all yellow chicks have single combs but 3 out of the 5 have five toes.

I hope this helps some!

Then #1 I'm still unsure of, #3 are light Brahmas, #4 are possibly Blue Cochins, #5 Partridge Cochins, #8. . . . Mutts. Silkies and Dorkings usually have five toes, and Dorkings have single combs, but Silkies have the feathered shanks, but should also have a crest and black skin.

The rest are as I said earlier.

With the suggestions that you guys/gals threw out at me, these are the ones that match exactly what you had said! Thanks so much!

There are still a few that are unknown.

Waiting on the ideas from the greenish legs before naming this one, but they look identical to the Gold/Silver Cambines

Okay, #2 I believe are Barnevelder chicks. They're quite varying, based on what quality of stock, but they can have heads like yours.
