Yes, I ordered one order of chicks from Mt. Healthy last summer and had a great experience! I would order from them again. Are all of the bird from Mt. Healthy?
I ordered from them in march - 11 hens of different breeds and was sent an extra chick (female) My 2 colored egg layers that I ordered both ended up being roosters. (Easter egger (americana), and Olive egger). The said they would reimburse me for one of the them. This is what I ordered. Not sure what my mystery hen is, she is kind of an off white color and I know she is not the leghorn. I have heard if you only order female any extra will be female and it will also be one of the same breed you ordered. So I wonder if my mystery chicken is maybe a lavender olive egger - but no pea combs, muffs, beards, or feathered legs on herHi all,
This is my first time ordering chicks from an online hatchery. I will be receiving a batch of 5 chicks next week from Mt. Healthy and I’m very excited! I’m curious if people typically receive “extra” chicks in their orders from Mt. Healthy? I’ve read reviews on other hatcheries where extra chicks (specifically Roos) just magically get added to their order? Yikes! Has anyone experienced this with Mt. Healthy? Just curious!
