One of my hens had dirty butt last week. After examining her I noticed that she had a gray/green mucas discharge. Her stool is solid and she does not apear to be losing weight.
Currently she is seperated from the flock and they are showing no signs of illness.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi bearclaw-
Have you checked to make sure she's not eggbound? Other than that, I don't really know what the problem could be. What are you feeding them? Could it be something in her diet?

All the hens are fed a laying mash. Layena i think its spelled.

She has started laying again, about 1 egg every 3 days. The eggs are coming out intact but deformed.

What is egg bound? I'm not familure with the term.

Eggbound would mean that she has an egg in the pipes but it's not coming out. Since your hen has laid an egg, she is not eggbound.
Layena is a good feed so I doubt it's her diet. Is she a new layer?
