Much needed duck and drake advice please

Thank you, I will remain vigilant - my main concern is the females at the moment, the boys are their usual selves so no cause to worry there at least for now. Just is my girls are spatting with each other and never have before. Will be sad if they lose their bond and closeness over this matter.
No. Nothing to worry about. I think you definitely need more Hens though. You possibly need two separate pens too for breeding season.
Drakes always have one top Hen that the other Hens follow.

Well I am not in the position to get anymore hens, I am fighting to keep the birds I have (had a noise complaint but not going to go into it on here). If worst comes to worst we will have to rehome a drake, however that is the ultimate last resort. Where I am there are lots of people who have pairs only in backyard settings, and backyard ducks are usually sold in pairs over here and my girls come from a 2 drake/2 hen flock, so I am hoping mine will work out too. They seem to have paired off already and I am hoping this will remain, however I am keeping a very close eye on them and as you suggest, I will wait until spring to see the outcome.

I bet the girls were really just laughing together behind the boys backs. :gig

Seriously though, I hope it all works out. Duck sex is not pretty.
:gigI bet your right - its hard to believe my adorable goofy soft as lights boys will turn into sex craved monsters when the spring comes but we are prepared just in case they do, but for the time being they are totally under the thumb, the girls definitely dominate them but the boys never seem to mind
