Today we are processing the last 12 Cornish X. Due to life, they all got delayed to nearly 12 weeks

Nice, big roasters!

None significant overall…..I had one that broke a leg and stunted growth a bit but the rest were really good size

6 down and we just can’t do anymore today…….looks like the other 6 get a pass to next weekend

I still have to clean up the processing gear and then the deck and backyard so we can enjoy at least 1 day out of the weekend

Is the kiddy pool your ice bath? I like it!

Actually that’s our pre-processing disinfectant bath. A little bleach and Ajax vinegar lime. The cooler on the walk is the ice bath

Mr muddy cut the wings off for dinner tonight and cut leg quarters off others so they’d fit in the brine bucket but I’ll try to get semi accurate weights

I never gave them a pre-process bath. Just dunk in the scalding water, pluck & gut.

He is helping, that's a good thing. I have weighed all the parts in baggies just to get an idea of what they were. I am sure they are huge! I kept a couple of the biggest to roast like small turkeys, I like them better than turkey.
