Muddy chicken yard!

any tips on how to de-mud the yard? All that ice we had has made everything a mucky mess!

We deal with a muddy run about 3x a year. In the summer, I toss in spent corn stalks, and sunflower stalks. Wintertime, I use straw from a bale. It gets them out of the mud for a while at least.

Thanks! I'm definitely going to have some pea gravel hauled in when things dry up. It's a mess out there!

Mine are only temporary measures, and are biodegradable. The chickens love digging though all of it for bugs etc.
