Muddy Run

Help!! Ive got a muddy muddy run here in Ohio, where we are on oyr 4,654,256 day of rain. There is standing water in a there from where they dug a bit. Any fast ways to help our my drowning in mud ladies? Moving the run is not an option.

Pics will help...it may be a matter of needing to address drainage or something that can be fixed with new management such as deep litter. Area(feet by feet), number of birds, etc is also important as to what approach might help.

You might be able to put down sand or straw

If you can get free wood chips or mulch, dump 6"+ to raise the run up will help solve your problem. You may need to this every other year. I am in the same situation so my plan will cover partial of the run and add free wood chips.

A quick, temporary “fix” is a load of wood chips, large mulch, pine nuggets, etc. There have been a few similar threads the last few days with great ideas for longer term solutions!!!
