'muffs' on two day old easter egger chick?

Sooo... dumb question here but is it possible for a two day old chick to have baby versions of the muffs that easter eggers are known for and if so does that automatically mean it's a male?
 
Yes it's normal to see mini muffs on a bird that will have them as an adult and no it does not mean they're male. Note the muffs on the 2 pullets on either side, I think they're a week old here?
