Is shredded mulch toxic to chickens when used as a flower bed mulch in a backyard set up?

I have some pine mulch in my silkies run...I haven't had any problems....as far as I know if you go with Pine not with cedar I know they have problems with cedar hope this helps

I would be wary about using the rubber mulch because you just know they'd eat some of that. But I don't see any problem with using natural wood mulches.

I'd be wary of letting chickens anywhere near mulch- because they will dig craters in it and spread it all over the place! Chickens and gardening are NOT a good mix!

Oh yeah, they'll probably eat or kill all the flowers, too.
