Mule duck breeding plan!

Here are my favourites of all the Mules I hatched! The one directly below turned out the only female..... I would have never guessed I'd breed a mule looking like her, she is absolutely beautiful, these pictures only really show a snippet of how pretty they really are.

Beautiful ducks!

These are the 4 mule ducks hatched this past July.
Mother is a silver muscovy, father is a welsh harlequin.
I got (from left to right) a lilac pied drake, black pied hen, solid white hen, and a blue fawn hen
They are for sale if anyone is interested :)

It is very interesting how they quack like a harlequin (not quiet like the muscovy), have more of an upright stance like the harlequin, but their head shape is more similar to muscovy and the drake is larger than the hens like the muscovy breed

Their lovely learycow, what a nice combination.

This is actually the first time I've had mules hatch! My muscovy quad were free ranging with my welsh but always seemed to stay away from the welsh. So I didn't think there was any cross breeding going on. But looks like he won her heart over somehow!
