I use a lot of British spelling and vocabulary, but I'm American. I think it all rubbed off when I was 18 and spent 8 weeks traveling through Britain and France. Back then I was fluent in French so I stayed in the countries where I could speak the language.

I've been watching the Sorted Food channel and it took me a bit to realise that courgette was, in fact, a zucchini, and aubergine an eggplant.
I totally use some British spelling, and aubergine might be my favourite word, ever.

Buenos Días 🤗
¿Hay personas en este grupo que son latinoamericanos o españoles?

I am fluent in Spanish and currently learing some Catalán, which to me sounds like an interesting mix of Spanish, French, Italian, and Portugese.

This thread is a pretty neat idea. I learned german and lived there for a few years but that was quite a while back. I'm very out of practice because I don't have many situations to use it but I can still usually understand enough of what I read or hear to get the meaning if I take the time to think about it. I also still do like watching things in german - this is one of my favorite films -

I watch a lot of Japanese and Korean television. Even though I use subtitles, it still helps pick up vocabulary. Taking a class will help you learn proper syntax, but exposure is where you get the vocabulary.

Huh. Does SQL count as a language? It has syntax and vocabulary...
