It really looks as if your flock has started feather pecking/plucking. I would guess that it is caused by winter boredom and is coincidental to Atticus' crowing.

Even if it is just winter boredom, I don't think I should have two roosters together for much longer. Especially considering how aggressive Atticus has gotten towards me

I agree that two roosters is not a good idea in such a small flock and area. I would guess that the change in temperament is just a result of him maturing and feeling the increased testosterone.
