I have only ONE hen that is capable of laying eggs this color (bluish green), and occasionally I’ll get a small (“fairy”) egg from her the same day I get a regular size egg from her. Some days I get just a regular egg, or a fairy egg. She’s an Americauna, the rest of my flock are brown egg layers. Yesterday, I found these THREE eggs this color. ???
Has anyone had experience with a hen laying like this? So weird...
(I gather eggs every day, so none are from a different day).

wow CLONE that chicken!
I guess folks would want to see pictures of the hen in question and the rest of the flock.
How old are these birds?
How long have you had these birds?
Did you think she hid them over a few days ?
They are a beautiful color
She’s an Americauna, and I’ve had her & the rest of my flock since they were day-old chicks 15 months ago (it’s a mixed flock). I gather eggs every day, so I know they were not from different days, and they were all in the nest boxes. The rest of my hens are all brown egg layers. I do like the color of these. :)

Could she have laid in the evening, before roosting for the night and then the next day? My EE is a new layer and has not been consistent yet with the times and places she lays.......just a thought.

I have heard of the regular egg and a fairy one, however I would have to agree that perhaps she had it somewhere else. They can bury them as well. I had a duck that would give me 2 eggs from time to time but never 3. I am not an expert and I am not saying it is impossible its just unusual. You have a very special chicken!!!

It can happen, not usually a good sign in a bird that age.
It could be her system is in shutdown mode getting ready to molt,
you can get some funky eggs during that time.

Thanks everyone! My chickens are molting, so maybe it’s related. We do check for eggs regularly, so I’m reasonably sure there are none left from the day before. My nest boxes are lined with astro turf type nest pads, so I know she can’t hide them in there. I was quite shocked to find the 3 eggs from her in one day! I was concerned there might be a health issue, but I can’t find anything online indicating that. Maybe she will lay all her eggs early in life.
