After tomorrow I will be on my 3 day wait for several of the eggs I have in the bator. A few days later I will be on it again for some quial eggs. Then a few days later, again. Is is ok to keep turning the eggs? I don't actually turn them. What I do is I prop up a side of the bator going clockwise 3 to 4 times a day.

Will the proping hurt the ones on the 3 day wait?

I wouldnt move them the chicks need to get into position, can you hand turn the ones that need turning for the next 3 days?

In my opinion, you got two option. And I don't know if you have a second bator up and going but I either move my 3 day waiters to an empty bator, laid on their side, and just leave them alone and let the others turn. If you don't have an extra or empty bator, I would stop turning 3 day waiters and continue turning the others.

Well, about a third of the eggs will be hatching starting on the 26, then 27 and 28th the Quail start. The other half of the bator I will have to hand turn. I really didn't want to open the bator at all during the hatching time. I do have another bator but it is very unreliable and the temp spikes. I don't want to risk it. I plan to use it as a brooder. I have it ready already. I attatached a screen to the top so the chicks don't get burned as they did before in this bator and paper towels on the floor on top of another screen. I'll get it turned on during the 3 day wait so hopefully the temp will be right.

I want to take the chicks out so they don't break the quail eggs or squash the babies when they hatch. I'll probably leave the quial in the bator they hatch in for a few days.

What about the humidity going up during hatching. Will that harm the others? The first few batches will hatch relativily close together. The second batch is't due until June 6th. Then June 10 and 18th.

Next ones I plan to put in there will be all at one time and all EE's. I'm going to wait until the last batch hatches before I even buy any. I'm going to avoid the confusion.
