It's always a balance of blocking spammers without blocking legit members. My goal is actually not to block 100% of spammers... if we do, then there's also a good chance we're also blocking legit members.

In this case, the Chinese characters slipped passed our filters, so I made some tweaks which should reduce the probability of that same spam getting through by about 97%!
