Day 6.just Googled it and looks similar to bad eggs on there. Am bit worried as it said on this one website that it can be caused by dirty eggs. The eggs have a bit of poop on but the guy we got them from said he'd put them under a u.v. light to kill any bacteria.

Yeah day six and that's a bad egg. Wouldn't worry to much though I always get one like that no matter what I do! But that's why we originally bought more eggs than we wanted ducklings!

You could clean them. I would just use a paper towel and some warm water to wipe off anything you can. You don't want to rub to hard though because then you might accidentely wash off a layer pf protective covering off the egg. And you don't want to keep it out of the incubator for to long.

Ok brilliant thanks, I'll try that now. We ended up with 3 ducks today! 1 is a year and the other 2 are 18months. Daddy is a Cayuga, mummy an Aylesbury and daughter is a mix if both. Daddy duck is stunning. Don't think they were handled very much though as they aren't particularly tame!

No names as yet! Yeh she's lovely but already found out she doesn't like being pretty and white, first thing she did was put her head in a pile of mud! Thanks for your help again by the way! Eggs cleaned off as best I can, hope not too much yuk has got in.
