mummy to be

Sounds great. I always wanted to be home schooled as i had a lot of problems with bullies. But stayed in school. What Languages do you speak? I did German and French and school and have been trying to teach myself italian and Japanese. Haven't got very far with Japanese!

Woohoo fingers crossed for girls. I would be delighted! Yeh I'm not one for sitting still either.

I'm off to sleep. Talk tomorrow. Sorry I haven't been on much over the weekend. X x night x X

No problem, it's good not to live in the computer. Sleep well!

I am learning spanish and french currently, learned quite a bit of sign language. And I want to learn Russian, portuguese, maybe Italian. Used to know a lot of German but I lost most of it. Do you teach yourself?

I did French and German at school. And self taught italian, well abit of! Same with Japanese. There are a few good CD and workbook combos around. You should learn italian too and we can help each other. Might get me back into it again. We can practice on bill as long as we can understand what he's trying to say in English first!
How long do you normally keep your ducklings in for? I know it's warmer over there so probably less time indoors. I've been putting them outside for about 15 mins a day. It's meant to be a lot warmer today so thought I'd leave them abit longer.

That's not a bad idea, the way I started Spanish was I learned the grammar rules (well, most of them) and the alphabet pronunciation first, so I can read anything written in Spanish and sound like I know it well and that has greatly helped me. So first I guess I'll learn the Italian alphabet and then yeah, we can learn it together! So what do you start with anyway? That's what stumps me, what words to learn first.

That's different every time honestly, I keep them inside as long as I can stand it! Ha! Well actually I try to for at least two weeks and then I move them to an outside brooder with a light, ducklings can actually stand quite a bit of cold, my last batch I moved outside at two weeks old and we were still having freezing nights but with her light she did quite well. They can play outside for a while to, I usually let min out around 30 minutes to an hour on warm days but a lot of that time they are asleep!

I think in my Italia workbook it starts with numbers and I am... Your age etc. That's such a good idea with the alphabet. Do you know I don't even think I've seen anything about saying the alphabet in Italian in there. I'll dig it all out tomorrow and see where it starts you. Maybe if I'm clever I can burn the discs on the pc and email them to you.

Today was lovely, got a little sun on my feet and cheeks. Duckies were out for a few hours as it was so warm. They had fun splashing around in a flower tub and eating peas and meal worms annnndd they are following me around! Yay! I did abit of research earlier and the consensus was that if it's below 10 c at night it's too cold. Im not sure how we'd get the heat lamp out there

My basic idea for learning another language was try to learn what we teach kids in English first. Learn the Alphabet, learn to read it and then the basics.Yeah that would be cool, we'll see how we can work it out. If it's anything like French though, be prepared for a very stubborn learning partner! Ugh!!

So Yipee! They are following you, so much fun isn't it! Are they dried meal worms? It doesn't matter if they are mine just go KooKoo for dried meal worms!!

That mocking bird I told you about, well her babies have begun the great world exploration! Not even that big yet and can't really fly but boy are they getting good, so glad I took care of the neighborhood cat problem....shhh....don't tell anyone it was me!!!

What did you do to the cats!?!? Haha ok sounds good. Yeh that sounds like a sensible way to attack learning languages! Just picking up my dinner after having my hair done - loving my new hair. Makes you feel so much better! Once dinners done I'll look out my stuff.
Yup dried meal wormies crushed up and deshelled peas = happy ducklings. Yeh it's so lovely. Last night they were running around the living room floor. When they started settling down I lied down with my head on the bean bag and they all came up and fell asleep next to my head. So sweet!

That's so good about the mocking bird babies! What do they look like?

Ah yes the world changing Haircuts. What did you do to your hair? Go short? I got mine about shoulder length and layered. Don't worry the cat's are fine-I just trapped them all with some coy and sly tricks and called animal control and our very attractive Animal Control guy told us that they all got adopted....except for the bob-cat(s) I caught. What are doing for dinner? If you don't mind me asking, and I was actually trying to take pics of the babies so as soon as I am done I'll post one!

Okay so this is the only one I can get a picture of so far, she had three and they have begun venturing out of the nest-very nerve racking for both myself and the bird parents!

It looks so grumpy! Like it's saying "hey what you lookin at!?" Are they friendly?
Same as it was before but trimmed ends and relayered with dark pink in it. My hair is very long blonde on top with dark brown underneath and now pink flashes in between the 2. I'd put up a pic but I reallllyyyy hate pics of myself! I keep toying with the idea of hacking it all off but when ever I've done it before I've regretted it!
For dinner I treated myself to a Chinese takeaway as my friend who did my hair didn't charge me as she insisted it should be a birthday present. Was very nice of her.
