Murray McMurray Ameraucanas

Just curious what caused you to email them? I was going to order Ameracaunas from MMM next year so any insight is appreciated!
She emailed them after a thread where many knowledgeable chicken keepers and Ameraucana breeders were trying to keep her from passing along incorrect information to other newbies. She has Easter Eggers from McMurray and, though she is brand new to the hobby, kept insisting that because McMurray sold them as Ameraucanas...they must be real Ameraucanas. It's been well-known for years that several hatcheries sell mixed-breed Easter Eggers as Ameraucanas, and the two Ameraucana breed clubs have repeatedly asked them to stop lying to people. This has been discussed and documented for years on this forum and many others. Yet...they still are lying to people and people are still believing them. McMurray does have one line of Blue Ameraucanas they acquired about a year ago from a good Ameraucana breeder but all the others are EEs. Nothing wrong with EEs! They're great chickens and it's fun to roll the dice waiting to see whether they'll lay blue, green, pinkish, or brown eggs. But they're not Ameraucanas.

I believe the OP is male. But otherwise everything you said is right.

No. I’m tired of “experts” dissing a company (with no idea what they’re talking about) that works very hard to provide quality birds, and I’m tired of ppl having absolutely closed minds. I said I’d post the company’s feedback, I’ve done that, I’m done with this issue. My birds are beautiful, I’m happy. I enjoy my time here, I’d like to continue to do so without causing problems or ill feelings.
Since in your own words you are new to the hobby, why on earth would you be dissing "experts"? Many of the people who tried to educate you ARE experts. There are people on here who have been keeping and breeding chickens for decades, and people who have been breeding and showing Ameraucanas for years. The issue of hatcheries lying to people and calling Easter Eggers "Ameraucanas" is an old issue and well-known to people who have been around a while. Can you not accept that they are not the ones with a closed mind? Your chickens are adorable and I hope you enjoy them, but please stop insisting the sky is green and the grass is blue...it just makes you look ignorant and confuses other newcomers who are trying to learn something,
