Murray McMurray Hatchery?

Hi! I have ducks and got addicted sooo I’m getting more.lol
So I want to order them from a hatchery and I was thinking Murray McMurray. 1st because it’s fairly close to where I live. 2nd because they sex their ducklings 3. Because they have the breed I want 4. Because I’ve heard some good things about them.
I have hatched out ducklings before and I always get drakes so that’s why I want to get them from a hatchery to make sure I get breeding pair and hens. And our farm store does carry ducks but they have been going so quick and I probably wouldn’t be able to get the breeds and pairs I would like to get. So does anyone have any experience getting from Murray McMarry ? Or I guess any hatchery that you like I would love to hear!

I'd like to say it's one of the best hatcheries in terms of quality and service, plus the closer the hatchery is to you, the better for the chicks. my current flock us from Murray McMurray
If I could only choose 3 hatcheries, it would Cackle, McMurray and maybe Ideal.

I got some ducklings from McMurray. Make sure you take the colored tape off their legs right away. I didn't because they said it would fall off on its own but my ducks nearly lost their feet. The ducklings have been healthy and I've never lost any ducklings from them.

I’ve ordered ducklings from Murray McMurray. They actually were not shipped from them but from Metzger Farms in CA. They arrived fine, and my second order of ducklings I ordered from Polk hatchery in Ohio. Same thing, came from Metzger in CA.
I would recommend you call MM and confirm that they will be shipped from their facility rather than Metzger. They are not at all transparent on their website about the origin of the delivery.

@feather13 has ordered some hens from Murray McMurray Hatchery, and she had very good luck with them.

As far as me, I got my Cayugas from a local breeder. The breeder was very experienced and perfected his breeding.

I just ordered 2 Pekin hens and a fawn and white male and female!!!! I’m soooo exited!! (I did order them from Murray McMurray!!)
