Murray McMurray & Ideal Poultry Hatchery's Polish

I just received my order from McMurray this morning and had 4 polish in the order of 75 chicks. All 75 arrived, no fatalities in the box. I can't say enough about good about McMurray, this is my third order with them.

I received a free roo white crested black polish from MM from last years order and he has turned into the roo from hell. He is as bad as the polish roo I had from them about 22 years ago that was a heinous creature also. Coincidence??? I don't know. All I know in my 32 years of raising birds, the two roos I had to get rid of, were polish roos from MM.

i got a new polish like you all are saying hes not the best quality i hope it gets better

We have recently ordered from Murray Mcmurray and have been happy with the customer service but very unimpressed with the chicks. Our order was for 15 white faced black Spanish and 16 silver grey dorkings cockerels and 25 dorking pullets. they gave us a free "rare" breed chick and added 3 roosters for warmth. Of that shipment 31 were dead on arrival and we now only have 6 white face black Spanish still living and the 2 yellow roosters. Murray McMurray responded graciously and refilled our original order a week later. They all arrived happy and active. Within 8 hours we lost 10 chicks and a week later we only have 22 of the chicks left alive. Not sure why they all keep dying. We have ordered chicks from another hatchery and didn't lose a single one. We also have over 50 chickens that we have purchased as chicks, from different feed stores over the last couple of years and have never lost any of them as chicks. I have called Murray McMurray and they have not been able to help me understand why they are dying. I am doing everything they have told us to do. I will be calling again today.
