Murry mcmurry surprise chick

I've ordered from them twice and both times I got an EE rooster! The first time I kept him because I could! He was aggressive and mean! The last time I had to give him up because I can't have any roosters where I live. This last one was very sweet too!

Yes, I ordered 25 of their Pearl White Leghorn pullets. My mystery chick turned out to be a Gold Laced Wyandotte. Very cute, but I
am thinking it is a cockeral. They are 9 weeks tomorrow and I may have to let him go. I sent a picture of him/her yesterday to this same
line, if you scroll down a bit.

My uncle got an EE rooster the first time he ordered McMurray this year, and the second time he got a Houdan or Polish (I think it's a mottled Houdan). Sex of the crested bird is yet undetermined.

In March we received a Hatchery mix of 50 pullets. There was 2 roosters and 8 pullets that were Mottled Javas. The hatchery does not have any Javas listed in their catalog and, when contacted denied sending them. Last order from that hatchery.

I've noticed that people ordering from this hatchery get breeds sometimes that aren't listed on their site at all. I think these might be breeds they are experimenting with or developing for future release. Better to slip them into orders as freebies than just kill them.

I've gotten EE pullets from MMM as my freebie, before. I've also had a White Faced Black Spanish pullet. This last time I got a Lakenvelder cockerel. I know people get mad at MMM, but Iv'e always had excellent service, healthy birds, and extra pullets of the kind that I've ordered thrown in. This past order, I ordered 49 chicks. Got 53--1 was the Lakenvelder cockerel, plus two extra female EEs and one extra female buff Rock.

Their site does state "free rare/exotic chick", so anything listed as an exotic breed counts too. I loved the extra chick I got, which turned into a cuckoo maran pullet! I would have loved a roo, but am happy with her :)
