I found one of my girl's hiding hole under an overturned wheelbarrow right next to the duck hoop coop. I barely got a view today but there have to be 20 eggs in there. It looked like one broke and there is dried yolk on some. She has been doing a disappearing act for about 3 weeks. No idea if these are all her eggs or if one of the other girls actually found the nest too. Should I just leave her alone? For the last 2 weeks I see her every other or every 3 days for a very brief time when she comes out to bath and eat... I think once she went to the stock pond and one of the drakes jumped her so it took a half hour or so for her to get back. Are the eggs ok with the yolk on the outside? she dug a hole in the ground.. Filled it with down and is laying on top. Fortunately the night time temp has only been dropping the last 2 weeks into the high 50s with 80s during the day. the nest is under a huge tree so shouldn't get too wet in the rain. Any opinions welcome
