yeah, well no. I mean if they take off from an elevated spot they can 'fly' but from straight off the ground.. runway style.. nope. but i have BIG males..

I was able to take a pic of them as they prepare to get their roosting spot for the night. I usually have about 7 of them roosting on the peacock aviary at night.

when do muscovy duckling lose their voice and get the hiss or coo? My muscovy is about a month old and it is always chirping for me to come and get it. It can get very loud, but it's very cute. It's like having a real baby sometimes. It's about a month old now.

Dont be afraid to clip there wings you just have to clip one side any ways. And my boys really arnt good at flying anyways (to big and fat haha) the females on the other hand are smaller and lighter and really wanted to get away from there men! haha they were always tring to fly away a quick snip of the fight feathers does wonders they do grow back every year. Im hoping they still think they cant fly after a year. But i'll keep my fingers crossed. The hardest part of clipping was catching them its like they knew that my husband and I were taking away the gift of flight! haha good luck to you. I clip the wings for the safety of my birds.
