Muscovies biting

Why are two of my three muscovies biting me??? They are almost 3 months old, and I'm still not sure of the sex. That's a whole different thread, lol! They have always been sweet and affectionate...well, ok, one of them has always been slightly aggressive - just not wanting to be picked up as a duckling. I just can't tell if they're being aggressive, or trying to be affectionate, or trying to get my attention? In any case, it kinda hurts, and I certainly don't want to send my kids into the pen while this behavior is going on! Any advice?

males around this time are getting there hormones and since you raised them that makes you mom until they mature and now to them you are a female that they practice on, so its not being mean its wanting to mate

there are other people on here who can explain it better i would check the Muscovy thread and ask there

Great, so they're hormonal teenagers.

I tried holding the bill when he started biting tonight, and it seemed to work. Also, I guess this is more evidence that I have a couple drakes on my hands!

Side note - there's a muscovy thread???
