WE raise muscovy's. They are a delicacy for some in our area. I love how quiet they are and efficient in reducing ticks population. Ours certainly lay well.
We had them in town in our backyard at one time. Neighbors never knew. We did clip the wings of the females and had no problems. Our yard was fenced but, they couldn't fly anymore.
Now in the country, the biggest problem we have is ducks in the road. For some reason they love the road in front of our house. They have 20 acres to roam in but, love the road. They do, however, herd well and are easily herded back to lawn
