As you know, i am incubating a muscovy duck egg, and you also know what happened to its family.... It's family died tragically so i only have one unhatched duck left....
Well This egg is on day 29 and it internally pipped... Is it normal that it pipped early? And by the way, It internally pipped but i hear no chirping.... And yesterday it was rocking violently in the incubator when i say it's name aloud, but now even though i shout his name it won't even move..... So i am going to lockdown now, the thing is i do not have a hygrometer so..... HOW IN THE WORLD SHOULD I KNOW THE HUMIDITY LEVEL INSIDE THE BATOR? I filled it's reservoir full of water (the cup of water should serve as the reservoir, it is because i used my homemade incubator)...... Should i add wet towels beneath the egg? So why i do not hear noises even though it already poked into the air cell and pipped internally? And the egg does not move now? I assume the fpduckling is resting? Any thoughts?
