My niece had a fox get her drake taking her down to one Muscovy hen with no friends but the chickens so I started searching for some more scovies for her. We ended up finding her a new blue drake and 3 more hens and in the process of searching for adult hens I was given 13 hatching eggs. Being so early in spring no clue if they have been breeding before we picked them up so I figured why not and fired up the Hovabator to start incubating last night. We'll see what we get in 34 more days.

You should have a pretty good idea in 7-10 days (at first candling). :D I had excellent results in my Genesis, hand-turning 3 x day and misting and cooling per @pete55's recommendations.

Best wishes for a great hatch!

I've done pretty good with them in the past but it's been a few years since I've hatched. I figured why not. 7 eggs from lavender and brown hens with a black drake and 6 from a white drake over a white hen so those will be white. She now has a blue drake and one black barred hen a brown and a lilac so we will see what colors she gets when they are done quarantine and all put together this week.

My muscovy drakes started to breed in late March this year so you could be good.

Sounds like you could see some diverse and lovely colors!

Day 7 couldn't wait any longer and candled. I have 3 that look like duds no development but can see little heartbeats and veining in the other 10. There was one chicken egg (green colored probably Easter Egger) that was in with the duck eggs so I threw that in too and I can't see through it's shell but it's gaining weight so must be growing. We'll see what happens.
