Muscovy duck eggs.

Hello, I have a Muscovy hen and I got a small egg, but I don’t know if it was hers. What color of eggs do they lay? She is going to be 6 months old this month.

Mine lay white or slightly off white eggs.

This is the best pic I have that shows the difference. You can see the two muscovy eggs have a slight pinkish hue to it the other egg in there that does not. It is easy to see when they are side by side.

They start to lay at an older age than other ducks. Usually it is around 24-25 weeks. They can delay if they come of age during winter.

The one in my profile picture started laying at 7 months, her eggs are slightly bigger than large chicken eggs.

The picture is of two Muscovy eggs to the left of a Rouen egg. My two Muscovy hens were born in June, 2018. They did not lay until the following April.

So, she probably is not laying? My brother was at the duck coop and found her sitting on some eggs ( the picture I posted) and she bit him as he was trying to get the eggs.

If she is broody I would assume she is probably laying, or was at least
