May still be getting ready is she still laying? once she starts sitting 24/7 she won't lay any more

She’s on them tonight. So I guess she’s through laying. I just assumed she was done when she started sitting on them during the day. I’ll count the eggs tomorrow. Do you eat duck eggs? I’d like to try them but hesitant.

Yes I do eat them and bake with them too. Try them and see what you think. You need to get the ones you don't want her to sit out by tomorrow if she is on the nest 24/7 now. I wouldn't eat any that are really dirty either.

Just wanted to let you know that Irma was attacked and killed this morning. Lost her and 13 eggs. But Epic Missions will still take some of the other ducks for us. Thanks for all your advice. Wish things could have ended differently.

Oh my gosh I hate to hear this. So sorry. Do you have any idea what attacked her?

I am glad and relieved Epic is still going to take some of the ducks. They will most likely have a much better life, Than to fend for themselves.

No, no idea. I really didn’t examine her, just too sad and at this point doesn’t matter. But such is life. I learned a lot from her being here and made several new friends in this area because of her.
One of them being the folks at Epic Missions. I think they will do good there.
