Muscovy duck vervus Peacock

I dont know anything about the peafowl where you live but If they are anything like the ones we have here than I find your statement about them injuring monitor lizards, jackals and jungle cats hard to swallow. We have "similar" predators to the jackal and jungle cat here (coyotes and bobcats) and I dont think our peafowl stand a chance trying to go against either of them. Then again maybe your peafowl have mastered the Ninja type fighting style that Kev speaks of.

Sorry Kev I couldnt help myself.

OOOPS...I didnt realize you were in colorado. From your post I just figured you were i another country.

I had full grown peacocks killed, by a Tom Turkey, Great horn owl, and dogs. Reason alot more are not taken by other predators, if the fact they roost so high in trees, coyotes and etc can't catch them there at night.

never under estimate a hungry predator.

Great Horned Owls are the worst predators I have ever experienced.

i have a muscovy male duck that got into a fight with my male turkey today. the turkey won, but my duck has a bloody head. i rinsed it off with water and seperated them. should i put any kind of medecated antibiotic cream on him, or just leave it to heal on it's own?
