My 4 mixed muscovys have just hatched and I just wondered if anyone had an idea as to what colours you think they may be?

Do you know the parent's coloration? Two look to be black and white. The yellowish???
Unfortunately not, I got them from a breeder and I specifically asked for mixed eggs so not sure on the parents. I do know that lavender was an option though. Assuming the yellow/silver one with grey feet and beak will be lavender of some description? The other yellow one has yellow feet but a rather obvious black tailDo you know the parent's coloration? Thank you, they are cute even if they are mischievous little things āŗ the bright yellow one has a black tail so that one confuses me. Think the silver-ish one may have some lavender in there somewhere? She has lovely grey feet tooVery cute!
Two black and white pied, and two white maybe blue-ish?

I was told my muscovy duckling would be lavender. But my "yellowish" muscovy duckling -- slightly darker on the tips of his tail -- is a chocolate barred!!! I think his bill is slightly darker than yoursMy 4 mixed muscovys have just hatched and I just wondered if anyone had an idea as to what colours you think they may be?

Oh, i wasnt expecting that transitionI was told my muscovy duckling would be lavender. But my "yellowish" muscovy duckling -- slightly darker on the tips of his tail -- is a chocolate barred!!! I think his bill is slightly darker than yours
Yes! I was amazed at the change as it happened!! I think original color and markings mean something to breeders who know the line of gene inheritance. But when we get a muscovy duckling we might not see what breeders see. I would love a lilac muscovy -- there is a breeder near where I live -- and I love my rescues, and the surprises they are. Daffy changed again when he molted [he lost his black head and now only has his barring low on his belly and his back under his wings. That is apparently common in barred ducks] His missing chest feathers are as a result of a naughty pekin drake that thinks he has a right to pull out my muscovy drakes' chest feathers.Oh, i wasnt expecting that transitionwell he is a handsome boy anyway! Just goes to show that these initial markings mean nothing.
