Someone beat me to the adults I was going to get a few weeks ago, but look at the Muscovy ducklings I'm picking up this weekend! They'll be a week old at that time.

All chocolate parents and the seller has no idea what the yellow chicks will grow up to look like, so I'm asking you guys if you might.

I keep hearing such good stuff about the Muscovies. Do you think my khaki drake needs a Mexican girlfriend?

there is a good chance you have white muscovys. they may grow up to have pretty blue eyes too. muscovys are my favorites.

muscovies are the most calmest most loving ducks there are. my favorite muscovy I used to have would fly to the porch when ever he saw me pull in the driveway. but I think he was too tame and something ended up getting him. such sweet little birds!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

This handsome fella was bright yellow as a duckling, he had a brown rim of down for a tail. I never would have guessed he was going to be black. His mother and father were both pied.

Love, love, love Muscovies!
Yellow down usually does indicate white feathers when they grow up, but don't be surprised if you see some other colors creep in there.

This last year was my first year raising any kind of poultry but the ducks especially took my heart. I got a wide variety of breeds to see which ones I would like to specialize in and the Muscovies instantly won me over! They are so friendly and so unique. My "kids" run up to greet me every time I come home and follow me around the yard when I'm outside. And the adorable whistling sound they make. Aaaaw!

You are lucky and you will have friends for life.
