Muscovy Ducklings

I just got 5 babies ranging in 1 day to 1 week old from somebody whose muscovies had a freak Christmas time nest. I haven't found much info about brooding muscovies, I assume because momma typically raises them. So, I have a couple of questions.

1st are they blooded at same temps as other ducklings?

When can they move outside (temp and typical age)?

I'm in northern NH so it's pretty cold.

Some good info here,
They are brooded just like other domestic ducklings so enjoy.

They will need to be brooded till fully feathered since your in NH Unless you can provide heat outside.

Thanks Miss Lydia, I have Khaki Campbells that I brooded this fall. Just wasn't sure if the Muscovy were any different. I figured not, but wanted to be sure

Are you familiar with genetics? I'm trying to guess at which colors these guys will turn out to be. I know chances are the yellow is going to be white as it has pink bill/feet.

The drake was black/white, and the ducks were lavender and buff/white.

I haven't seen anything showing the genetics from black to lavender or buff.

Me? nope just love all the colors they come in. Does you all yellow have blue eyes.

Yes, the yellow has blue eyes. And we have one with yellow rings around it's eyes which from what I've read means it will have the white head.

Love the blue eyes. All my whites have died from old age related issue and never gave me any solid white ducklings either.
I never heard of yellow rings around their eyes meaning they will have white heads. I only had one drake that didn't have the white head gene he was the wild type color.

It's so exciting to watch them change over the next few months into adult feathering you just really never know what you may get in colors.
