Muscovy ducks and laying eggs

Our female Muscovy has a lot of eggs. She nested for about 3 or 4 days, the quit nesting. Few days later, dead. This has happened twice. Plenty of fresh water, good food, clean nesting bios, with a small clean creek to bathe in. Why are the ladies dying??

I'm sorry you have lost your Muscovy females. How old are they when this happens? are they nesting in safe quarters? Are you sure they haven't ingested a toxin, something dead or a plant or stagnant water
