I can't seem to find a simple answer. Do I place my muscovy eggs on lockdown on day 35 or not? I'm on day 30 and one externally pipped. I know these eggs are tricky to hatch but I'm giving it a try....

I’m signing off, so if you don’t know what to aim for with humidity, I suggest 60%.

If it's externally pipped, it needs the extra humidity to keep the membrane moist and pliable while hatching. If you're already experiencing high humidity (I know I am) then you might just leave it.

Do you agree w/ locking them down now? Its actually day 31 right now.

I'm on day 34. 2 out of 5 have externally pipped. The "early pipper" is chirping and there is a tiny tiny hole in the membrane. The egg is rocking a lot. The second "pipper" there is no hole in the membrane yet. There signs of life in all 5.

Should I intervene with the 2 externally pipped eggs. They have been pipped for 3-4 days?

Yes, after two days (for ducks) of being pipped, they aren’t going to get out on their own.

Well, I helped the first one. Its been 2 hours. It is in the incubator. Moves here and there and then rests/sleeps. Not sure when it will perk up more if its gonna be strong and healthy??
