Muscovy egg on day 35, still has not internally pipped yet

I might gently tap its bill and see if it responds. I really hope it’s alive but I’m worried that you aren’t seeing movement

I tried tapping its bill as you’ve said but no response, I’ve also sprayed the membrane a few times so it doesn’t shrinkwrap

Still nothing, shouldn’t the veins go away when it actually dies?

What does “dry” mean exactly?

By looking at the pics those veins looks clear
Only tiny really thin ones I see a little red still
The bigger ones look like there is no blood in them
If you don’t see any movement and those bigger thick veins are empty my thoughts are baby passed
I have no idea why as baby didn’t have the head tucked in so it should have been able to get to air cell

Yeah I think unfortunately the poor baby has passed, still no movement today I think it might’ve been shrink wrapped because I didn’t have it humid enough. This was my first ever time so it’s definitely a good learning experience, I have 2 other eggs I’ve been incubating though

I’m sorry to hear this but felt it was true! I hope the next 2 make it with out difficulty you’ve def learned a lot. Are these eggs from your Muscovy? I believe my girls would brood snake eggs! I have one that will be 13 in July brooding on nothing!

They are on day 22, however they are smaller than the Muscovy egg, so I don’t know whether they are regular ducks or Muscovy and whether I should incubate them to 28 days or 35
