Muscovy gender id?

Quote:
The two you mentioned as being hens already have more crinkling and a longer tail the the other two that you say are drakes. Drakes have more crinkling in the face and longer, more square tails, hens do not have much crinkling and have a rounder body, which is why I responded the way I responded. They're still too young to have the full male or female features, but they seem to have enough.

I know there's a lot of muscovy owners in this forum that can definitely give an idea about the gender.

OP, do you have any other photos of the ducks that show the face better?

ETA: Here is a link to photo of a male and a female wild-type by Mila Zinkova. The male is on the right:

I've raised over 75 Muscovies over the last 2 yrs. and based on the caruncles I can see in these photos I'll stick with my opinion. closer pics of the faces would definatly help.

Well, the OP just said that the one you pointed out as a hen in the third pic confirmed that he is really a drake and the father of the others.

Uh, the one I said I thought was a hen was the middle duck. The black one to the left, the one pointed out as the father, I also said was a drake as is the one to the right. From the pic I still feel the MIDDLE (from left to right) duck could be a hen. besides, you may be right, just my opinion. Still could use better (coser) pics
