Both ducks are around 6 weeks old. The chocolate one is three days older than the silver? lavender? Lilac? Blue?, I don't know the recognized colors, one. They are feathering differently, the chocolate one feathed out above the wings a couple weeks ago, then some tail feathers, next the head.

The silver one feathered out above the wings about a week ago along with the tail and the head is just starting to feather out.
What gender do you think they are?
This is the first picture. The silver one hatched the day before.

I'm gonna go with chocolate is male and blue is female. Chocolate looks as big as fancy did at his age and blue looks like speedy and sugar did.

I can't see really well, but long bodies with big feet=male, short bodies, small feet, petite=probably female unless it's a slow maturing male.

Miss Lydia and Raenh like this.
