Muscovy Genetic/Color Question

Can I breed a black 'Scovy to a chocolate one? Or are they completely seperate colors with completely different genetics?

Yes you can. A Muscovy is a Muscovy.

Okay, well, yes it's possible to breed them, but would the colors be screwed up, or would I get chocolate and black ducklings from the mating?

Actually, mating a chocolate drake over a black duck gets you black drakelets and chocolate ducklets.
Chocolate is the only sex-linked gene for color in ducks.

That means the Male must have been the Black and wasnt split to Chocolate... I had the same issue this year...
