Two of my girls started laying again yesterday and it has awakened that little, dusty part of myself that wants to hatch something.
I've read that muscovies can be difficult to have a successful hatch, usually death at the end of incubation. Does anyone do something to minimize this happening?
When should I stop the automatic turner and lockdown? Should I have a true lockdown? One of the articles below is very hands-on at the time of hatching and I wonder if it's okay to use it. Is the temperature the same?
Are either of these articles useful?

I live in Florida and I use a mostly dry incubation for chickens because it's already so humid.
This is my incubator:

I do good in this incubator even though it's not a great one. I have multiple thermometers and hydrometers that all will be calibrated. Any other tips for a good hatch?
