Muscovy keepers share your pics!

My duck love dog food to!, but yeah all ducks pant, but most of the time they'll lift up their feathers, like you know ruffle them so heat can escape
very interesting that yours like dog food too. I thought my friend's were the only ones who did. Sometimes he says they sneak into the house and raid the dog bowls.

That's funny. I bet they love the sprinkling water on them with the heat. My friend has ducks and he says his pant like dogs in the heat. And his ducks love dog food.
mine do too, they look like dogs panting aswell and they do, the ducklings love trying to get the water hahah

Hi all I'm new and about 3 days ago just bought my first Muscovy. I've had Pekins for a few years and have raised and sold ducklings, hatching them in the incubator. I'm hoping she will make some cute coloured babies with my Pekin drake any way heres some pics of the cute lady.

She is trying to get in with my other ducks, so far my drake just hisses and her and she runs away peeping. She is only around 3-4 months old also very timid and wry of people.

She is beautiful, and still young so watch your adults don't hurt her. Hopefully they will accept her in time but I'd make sure in the mean time she has a safe place to go if they get aggressive. it's mating season in Aus. right. and she is still too young to be mated.
Welcome to BYC
