thank goodness he didn't! Such a good thing you found him and came to his rescue. My Walshi thinks he's so fearless.... I find him flying on top of high place and hissing like he's king of the world

he's just lonely now that my girls are dedicated mama's nesting like 24/7

My muscovies do stuff like that too!!! My drake Lewis trash talks my big turkey hen YOU DO NOT MESS WITH HER if your another bird that is if another bird gets to close BAM right in the face Lewis though is smart and knows she doesnt walk fast and is too lazy too chase him so he just stays barely out of reach and hisses and wags his tail i think he has a crush on her and is trying to get her to calm down she just fluffs up gigantic and makes little turkey noises that mean,"come here and your dead!"she just pecks them though and walks off she just makes sure her spot in the pecking order doesnt move and she is second to top of the list Biscuit my tom is on top of the list they all get along well though so thats good my rooster Heliotrope doesnt know what to think of Lewis and Clark he stares at them and like pushes them but they just happily hiss and then Heliotrope flees unsure what to do

Well in the wild Muscovy's are tree dwellers and are use to flying. Once they get around 2 and older the drakes don't usually fly so well because they are heavy, mine is not yet 2 will be in May. The ducks can fly at any age. I was looking at my 2 youngest yesterday standing pretty close together. Big difference in body bulk with a years difference in age.

interesting Miss Lydia. I did not know that about muscovies. Ilove the diversity of all these ducks. Thanks for the explanation.

yeah my ducks do that, well harley rolls in the dirt and becomes half black and half white hhahaha its funny

Ok so I checked up on the flock and Lewis got a bit beat up by his dear crush Christmas I jinxed him

So i penned him up alone with water and stuff so no one picked at his wounds but he'll be fine in a day or so

Poor boy bird. Loves her and she is mean to him. What is it with birds? Even mine are turds to each other at times.

Yeah Christmas is being a real jerk to her fancier but he is going to have to learn turkey's are turkey's and ducks are ducks i told him he just has to wait till Spring and he will get his own females he didnt seem pleased

he has a big dish too of water so he can clean up so he physically will be fine but mentally i think he is heart broken he has been following her around for several months so sad ;(

Yeah im sure he will be ok by then but i dont think he has given up on Christmas he is very stubborn but she is BB so she is going soon so he will just have to move on
