Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Okay guys I'm like planned out with Farm girls breeding i scheduled dates and wrote down/marked the dates she is gonna be bred and scheduled days as to which male is gonna breed with her on which day, just two males alternating days for about 20 days after an 18 day period that started yesterday, so she will begin breeding on the 1st of March. Since i like free range i dont know which males she's been mated with so I've separated her and have to wait 18 days for those eggs to process and be laid (it takes about 18 days for eggs to be lain/ processed) and then she can start breeding again so for now its just a waiting game Cross your fingers

A few updates from our fine feathered friends we picked up in PA a month or so ago. I still need to get individual pics of some of the new girls. Our back yard is still a swamp from all the snow that's melted in the last week or so.

And a couple more, but taken right after the larger storm a couple of weeks ago. We got 8 to 10 inches of snow, none of our birds cared for that, but once it started melting... GAME ON!!! The first photo is Houdini. You can hardly tell his head was ever injured. He's our largest drake or tied for largest.

@tmorgan46 Houdini looks great. Love both pics of your drakes and those lil females are beautiful.. I wish we'd get an update on how that all panned out for the member who you got your latest Scovy's from do you ever hear? I can't even remember her BYC name

We haven't heard from awarmrainyday since the day we drove up and picked up 10 of the Scovies that had invaded their yard. All of them were very trusting of her. Whenever she came around with food, they were right at her feet! Great experience. The bottom photo is one of the drakes that we got from her, we've named him Checkers. Our intent was to only get one drake but we ended up grabbing a pure white drake by accident. That's okay, he's young and has quite the small harem of other white or mostly white ducks. I'm still working on getting better individual pictures of all of them. Some of the little girls are very cute. We also now have an inside duck from the bunch we picked up, poor thing got both feet frostbitten pretty bad and we're tending to her. She's lost a couple of toes so far and walks a bit funny so now we call her Miss Wobblesworth. It fits and she's slowly warming up to us human types and is healing up quite nicely. We've talked about this before, but still amazes me how resilient and how quickly they heal. She's looking forward to joining her crew again and is only tolerating us. But she's a cutie as well.

Checkers is very handsome and a good name for him.

I hope your lil one with the frost bite recovers completely I've had a few get frost bite on their knobs on their faces my drakes especially but never feet so far, They are amazing how well they come back. Good for ya'll to take such good care of her too.

A couple more photos taken today while I had the chance.

We call these two little girls Frick and Frack. Originally, one was Wild Thang but they both act the same, goofy, so had to come up with different names.

No name yet, but love her colors.

Same as previous. I wish I could catch her standing, this picture doesn't do her justice.

And another with no name yet. This naming business is hard!!!

We call him Knight, as in White Knight. Don't know if that one will stick or not. He's a young drake who's trying to navigate his way to adulthood. A little bit rough for him, but he's doing okay.

This is Blondie. She's one of our 2nd batch of ducklings we got in August 2015. She's a sweetie, but more skiddish than the others.

And that's all for today!!
