Muscovy keepers share your pics!

thats not too far from me....i have lots of muscovys. my boys are blue-fawn and blue my girls are chocolate, blue, white and varying degrees of black and white...and 21 ducklings currently .
Well, we may definitely have to talk some numbers! We're still constructing pens and runs at the moment on our property, so we're in no particular rush at the moment (albeit, I want animal life present like YESTERDAY. I'm like a kid in a candy store, all this space AND a spring fed pond, and nothing living on the property....sigh...a shame) My partner and I aren't too particular about coloring, since we do plan on using them as primarily dual purpose production ducks, however, those blue 'Scovies have a soft spot in my heart..... <3

Hi guys I know i haven't been on in a while and want you all to know my girl is doing great but she is a little lonely. I am looking for a Scovy drake for her i and would be interested if there was someone with one for sale in Pa. If anyone has one let me know.

Oooooooo, I love the variety of blues/chocolates? (my screen could be off) that I see! :)

Question, do you experience predation from raccoons/other forest critters on your waterfowl? I've always kept my turkeys and chickens in coops at night, with guarded runs, but we have a nice pond we'd like to enclose in chain-link and let them have free-range of the entire pond area, but I'd be devastated if they all got snatched up. (Albeit, I am very, very nervous about Gators....my SO insists in his entire life living on the property a gator has never once came into the pond, even with the farm-raised fish living in it, but fingers crossed....)

the only critters around here that i have seen are possums and stray dogs...and we deter them by having my dogs kennel set up in the the birds yard.....her insistent and annoying yapping at the slightest noise seems to keep most predators away...we also have cats that hang out with the birds as well .and yes i have 2 blue girls and 2 chocolate girls 2 black and white girls, 1 white girl
and two drakes , one almost solid blue and the other is blue fawn. I recently rehomed my black and white drake...i am trying to breed for more colors than black and white

I'm hoping between our Collie, the future geese, and our Turkeys (plus fences, reinforced coops/runs, etc) will be plenty of deterrent for the preds. Fingers crossed.
