I could send you a few if you'd like. PM me. I have chocolate and black pied ducks and blue pied drake. I'm fairly close to you so hopefully they wouldn't get shaken up too bad. Fertility seems pretty good too.I set 13 eggs a couple weeks ago and 10 of them are developing (2 blood rings, 1 clear)

Looks like a young one too. they can teach him the ropes. lol very pretty.  @oldhenlikesdogs
He clearly is a novice as he didn't know which end to mate.

The hen in the photo is the one who has been acting the part of the male for 2 years and has been mock mating the hens. I found it interesting that she's the only hen he paid any attention to in the first few days.

The photo doesn't show his tail which is blue. So down the road he should make beautiful ducklings with my multiple colored hens.

Another interesting observation is my hens had not been hiding or defending their eggs like they used to before I lost my drake. Should be interesting to see if they become more protective again. I swear they know they need a male to hatch.

They probably do know.

Keep us updated on how things are going.

LOL...some of my young bucks (rabbits) get confused like that, too. Sounds like he likes the assertive girls.

Thank you. My last Drake got old and fat so his last two years the hens would chase him around to be mated, he just wanted to be retired. He must of actually stopped mating because no eggs would hatch during his last year. He was 12 years old. I am surprised at how long my muscovy live. They are very hardy.
