Any tips on making the little guys tame? They are super wild rn they are a week old I just got them yesterday but I'd like to tame them

Lots of quiet attention don't try to actually handle them much just sit quietly with them talking softly. offer some dried meal worms broken into small pieces soon you'll have them eating out of your hand. They are going to be scared you are huge and could be a predator so they will not warm up immediately.

They sure are adorable I love Scovy's.

Yeah they just got separated from their mom yesterday when we picked them up from my friend so they were a litta stressed yesterday but I'm heading out to see them in like 45 min so I would like to try again with them and just tame them a little :) I have mealworms at home

It will take time a good way to get them use to you is to try and be at their level in other words don't stand over them it will really scare them. I always keep my chicks and water fowl babies that are inside on a table so they are almost eye level with me. They will need to be kept warm.

Jellybean.....:tongue

Same applies to all birds quality time and lots of treats. I don't mean feed only treats but at least a few times a day bring them something yummy and start tossing on the ground a ways out from you then gradually get the treats closer and closer so soon they are right at your feet. You maybe able to still get your older water fowl to eat out of your hand. All my scovys will eat out of my hand and both of my geese but only out of my 8 Runners and Buffs so far only 1 Runner and 1 Buff will eat out of my hand. I am working on it. lol you want them to associate you with safety and yummies. :) Almost all my birds have been hatched and raised by moms here so I don't get to spend much time with them their first 4-6 weeks other than tossing out snacks and mom teaches them.
