Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Any idea how to keep my muscovies off the deck? I love every aspect of them except this one--they insist on sitting right outside of the door to the deck and poop. They free range when I'm home. I usually chase them off with a light up pool noodle (it's the only thing they seem to be terrified of) but a few hours later they're back again.
We laid pvc pipe in front of our shop door. They wouldn't go anywhere near it! I mean they stayed 10 feet away and watched it like it was going to jump up and get them. Guess they thought it was a white snake! LOL:lau

Okies from muscovies

So last week I added two new ducks to my blue Muscovy flock. One is an adult white headed blue female, and the other is a young blue Muscovy duckling. The duckling was hatched June 5th, 2017. I can't tell if it's a male or female. Hoping male.
Any thoughts?

To anyone who has questioned whether to eat your muscovy ducks or not.... Eat!! I love them, but they are delicious. Like steak. I'm going for the whole"self reliant" thing. We butchered some meat chickens and 1 duck I bought as a ling that ended up being a drake. He tasted so good. Meanwhile, all my hens are broody. 2 sets of babies here. I will be putting them in the freezer.
