Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I have a concern over when to let my Pekin and Muscovy ducks out with the rest of the flock. They are new to the flock and already 2 months old when I got them, and they've been in their own enclosure for a week but my Acona kept pulling the feathers from my Pekins' neck last time we put them together to see how they would do I'm afraid he'll hurt her if I let them out together. Nervous Nanny I am :barnie

They are 2 months old now? They can see each other through out this week? All you can do is keep trying. It takes time for a resident flock to accept new comers. And there will be some grabbing and shoving while pecking order is established. Have you tried tossing something special on the ground on neutral territory when you let them all be together? That may help.
One thing you have to keep in mind is Muscovy's fly very well and if one gets picked on too much maybe pushed into flying off One of my drakes did this and thankfully he didn't get all the way to the river I still had to go get him and walk him home. He got a wing clipping after that it was right before dark. He'd never made it over night.

Yes they have pens right next to each other so they kinda communicate throughout the day so I will keep them apart for a week and see if I can do what you suggested and give them a treat when I get them together, and maybe I'll do the wing clip before I let them out anyway. I appreciate your time. :bow :fl
