I'll be getting a male in a couple of weeks to keep her company, I'm totally addicted to ducks and chickens now. lol,Yep def a female and pretty one too.
That makes sense, much thanks will do.LOL It happens to the best of us
I'd seriously think about maybe 2 more females too or your lil female will be loved on way too much.
Yes they have pens right next to each other so they kinda communicate throughout the day so I will keep them apart for a week and see if I can do what you suggested and give them a treat when I get them together, and maybe I'll do the wing clip before I let them out anyway. I appreciate your time. They are 2 months old now? They can see each other through out this week? All you can do is keep trying. It takes time for a resident flock to accept new comers. And there will be some grabbing and shoving while pecking order is established. Have you tried tossing something special on the ground on neutral territory when you let them all be together? That may help.
One thing you have to keep in mind is Muscovy's fly very well and if one gets picked on too much maybe pushed into flying off One of my drakes did this and thankfully he didn't get all the way to the river I still had to go get him and walk him home. He got a wing clipping after that it was right before dark. He'd never made it over night.
